Tutor Terms

Effective date: 1 September 2026

These Tutor Terms apply to people who apply to teach or provide tutoring through HiLernity. HiLernity is operated by ТОО “Top Notch Agency LLP”.

1. Application and accuracy

You must provide accurate information about your identity, experience, education, languages, qualifications, and teaching specialities. Submission does not guarantee approval, and HiLernity may request additional evidence.

2. Credentials

Certificates, diplomas, and other supporting documents must be genuine and lawfully provided. Misleading or fraudulent material may result in rejection or removal.

3. Professional conduct

Tutors must behave professionally, respectfully, and lawfully. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, sexual misconduct, fraud, exploitation, and abusive behaviour are prohibited.

4. Younger learners

When teaching children or teenagers, tutors must maintain appropriate professional boundaries and follow safeguarding requirements communicated by HiLernity.

5. Availability and attendance

Keep availability reasonably accurate and attend confirmed lessons on time. If you cannot attend, update availability and follow the applicable cancellation process.

6. Pricing and lesson information

Lesson type, duration, price, and requirements must be represented accurately. Where the platform processes prices, fees, commissions, or payment charges, the applicable booking and account records govern the transaction.

7. Privacy and communication

Respect learner privacy. Personal phone numbers, private email addresses, WhatsApp, Telegram, or similar contacts should not be published in public profiles.

8. Payments and payouts

Where paid booking is enabled, HiLernity may collect learner payments and account for platform commission, payment-processing costs, refunds, chargebacks, taxes, or agreed amounts before determining the tutor’s payable balance.

9. Cancellations and disputes

Tutors must follow the cancellation and refund rules that apply to the booking. HiLernity may review relevant booking records and adjust balances where a refund, chargeback, correction, or policy decision requires it.

10. Circumvention

Do not use HiLernity primarily to obtain learner contact details and intentionally move platform-introduced paid lessons off-platform in order to avoid agreed fees or protections.

11. Teaching materials

You must have the right to use materials you upload or distribute. Do not upload copyrighted books, tests, videos, or worksheets without permission or another lawful basis.

12. Independent relationship and termination

Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, tutors provide services as independent service providers, not employees of HiLernity or ТОО “Top Notch Agency LLP”. HiLernity may suspend or terminate access for safety, fraud, serious misconduct, misleading information, or repeated policy violations.
