Editorial Policy
Effective: 4 September 2026
This policy explains how HiLernity prepares and maintains educational content. HiLernity is operated by ТОО “Top Notch Agency LLP”.
1. Learner-first purpose
Content should help a learner understand or use English better. We prioritise clear explanations, realistic examples, practical distinctions and useful practice over keyword repetition or unnecessary complexity.
2. Linguistic accuracy
Grammar and usage explanations aim to reflect standard contemporary English. Where British, American or other widely used varieties differ, material should avoid presenting one legitimate variety as universally wrong.
3. CEFR and level guidance
CEFR labels are guidance for learning difficulty, not formal certification of a learner’s ability. Some topics naturally span more than one level.
4. Examples and originality
Examples should be written for the learning point and should not reproduce copyrighted books, tests or courses without permission or another lawful basis.
5. Tools and editorial responsibility
Digital tools may assist drafting, editing, translation, formatting or quality checks. Publication responsibility remains with HiLernity. Tool use does not justify fabricated experience, credentials, quotations, sources or reviewer claims.
6. Translation standards
English is the source language. Russian and Kazakh translations should preserve the teaching meaning rather than follow English word-for-word where that would sound unnatural. We distinguish between a translation being present and a translation having completed native-speaker review.
7. Sources and higher-stakes claims
When a lesson relies on an external factual claim rather than ordinary language explanation, editors should prefer reliable primary or authoritative sources where practical. HiLernity learning content is educational information, not legal, medical or financial advice.
8. Dates and updates
Publication dates reflect the real WordPress publication timestamp. An updated date should reflect a genuine later edit. We do not change dates merely to make old material appear fresh.
9. Named reviewers
A named reviewer is displayed only when a real person has actually reviewed the relevant material and HiLernity has a truthful basis to describe that person’s role or qualifications.
10. Corrections
Material may be corrected for accuracy, clarity, examples, translation or formatting. Significant corrections can update the page’s modified date. Reports can be sent to support@hilernity.com.
